COP26 - Actuar ya

COP26 que tendrá lugar en Glasgow en noviembre tiene como lema "uniendo al mundo para hacer frente al cambio climático". Sin embargo, en las 25 conferencias anteriores de la COP celebradas desde 1995, los líderes mundiales no han conseguido cumplir sus objetivos. No aceptaremos este incumplimiento: los gobiernos deben actuar ya. "Dejen de matarnos" es el mensaje de los grupos XR del Sur Global que ya están sufriendo las consecuencias más catastróficas del cambio climático. Además, debemos dar voz a los millones de especies y generaciones futuras que no pueden hablar por sí mismas. XR seguirá exigiendo una acción inmediata para hacer frente a la emergencia climática y ecológica antes, durante y después de la COP26.

Este noviembre, en Glasgow y en todo el mundo, llevaremos a cabo protestas pacíficas y creativas y desobediencia civil no violenta para reclamar nuestras demandas. Cantaremos, bailaremos y nos alzaremos contra la desesperación. Recordaremos al mundo que hay muchas cosas por las que merece la pena rebelarse.
