The first part of the session will give an overview of the published science, why XR was established, and why we believe that nonviolent direct action (NVDA) is the best way to achieve a better future for us all. We will then invite you into discussion groups to consider some key questions around how citizens could respond to crises such as these to build more resilience, what we might learn from recent weeks, and how people might participate in nonviolent climate activism when the same threats are still present but for many, the focus is understandably elsewhere. We will come back together for a whole group discussion that should prove enriching and valuable, as participants tell us similar recent events have been.
