Charlie is an interdisciplinary researcher and conservation scientist at the University of Kent and local campaigner in West Norfolk. Amongst other work, he spent ten years in Madagascar where he worked with WWF and other NGOs in protecting habitats very much working with the local people. He was also one of the experts who contributed to the Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill, which will get its second reading in Parliament next year. Charlie is a wonderful speaker and has the ability to make the science clear to a lay audience. His talks are illustrated by slides. In this particular talk, he will highlight the connection between the ecological and climate crises, and show how we can save ourselves by saving nature.
