This is a participatory event and open to all! We ask you to join us for this Community Gathering to discuss the Enbridge Line 3, Indigenous Water Protectors fighting to stop this pipeline, and how you can support this campaign. Right now, Indigenous Water Protectors in Minnesota are leading the fight for their lives to stop construction of the Canadian pipeline: Enbridge Line 3 that would export the world’s dirtiest oil from the Alberta Tar Sands while running through treaty territories of the Anishinaabe peoples, as well as, hundreds of waterways including: wetlands, Mississippi River, headwaters to the shore of Lake Superior, and largest wild rice beds in the world. Following our presentation on Line 3, we will be having a follow-up discussion on Non-Violent Direct Action (NVDA) that was our main topic for our January Gathering. If you were unable to make the previous meeting, that is okay! You will still be able to take part in the discussion, previous engagement is not needed.
