Help wildflowers by joining a volunteer work party with Cambridge on the Verge and CambridgePPF. We will be cutting back scrub on the road verge near Wandlebury in order to save the fragile flowering plants that live on the chalk grassland. All instruction, equipment and tools provided. Wear tough clothes and footwear and bring any drinks/snacks. Numbers of volunteers will be limited to 10 for this activity due to the location and type of work, so please register in advance by contacting Ben from Cambridge on the Verge at onthevergecambridge@gmail.com XR Cambridge acknowledges that many of our protests cause disruption. We are here to make our communities stronger, and to show this we do sister actions to give back and help other organizations. This sister action is with On The Verge, an amazing local group promoting the growing of nectar-rich wildflowers around the city of Cambridge. Their aim is to provide an abundance of food sources for pollinating insects which are in catastrophic decline.
